IN THE SOUTH ADRIATIC LOCAL GUSTS OF SE WIND 35-65, TOWARD THE END OF THE DAY OF NW WIND 30-40 KNOTS. SEA IN THE OPEN 5-6. IN THE SOUTH AND IN A PART OF THE CENTRAL ADRIATIC A RISK OF ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS.SYNOPSIS A ridge of high pressure is extending over the Adriatic from the northeast, while a low over the Tyrrhenian Sea is gradually shifting toward the Adriatic.WEATHER FORECAST FOR THE ADRIATIC FOR THE FIRST 12 HOURS NE, in places E wind, 15-30, in the North Adriatic up to 40, and in the Velebit Channel up to 50 knots. In the South Adriatic SE, in places E wind, 18-36, gradually diminishing in the afternoon to 12-28 knots and turning to NW. Sea 4-5, in the open possibly up to 6. Visibility 5-15 km. Mainly cloudy with snow or rain in places, in the South and in a part of the Central Adriatic with isolated rain showers and thunder, possibly heavier.
