With many good news that came to us from Perth 2011 one is of particular interest to Split Olympic Sailing Week. Marianne Middelthon has accepted our invitation to be a jury chairman at the Split Olympic Sailing Week 2012.
Marianne Middelthon has impressive CV, as she was member of the jury at the Olympic Games at the Sydney, Athens and Beijing as well as one of the jury chairman at the last three America's Cups. She was also the member of the jury at more than 80 various World Championships and 25 ISAF World Cup regattas.
We are very proud of her confirmation because it means that our project is growing every year.

   

SOSW 2012

 Dear sailors,

 
On behalf of the host Yacht club Labud it is my pleasure to invite you to the VIII edition of the Split Olympic Sailing Week which will be held from 7th to 11th March 2012. Above all it is my pleasure to inform you that the VIII edition of the SOSW will also be Open Croatian Championship for Olympic Classes!

In some ways it is a recognition by Croatian Sailing Federation to all sailors, sports professionals and volunteers not only from Split sailing clubs, but from all over the Croatia  who have been involved in organizing this, now, very respectable regatta. This honor is our obligation and to You a guarantee that the regatta standards, on the sea and on land, will be at an even higher level.

Given that the results for the Croatian Championship will be separate from SOSW, VIII edition of the SOSW-a will also be mandatory regatta for all the Croatian Olympic team members and those who aspire to become. Besides, we already know that the SOSW is also the electoral race for other national sailing teams.

Croatian Olympic sailing is still at the top and we have reason to hope for up to 4 Olympic medals in London. Therefore we believe that the SOSW will also be a great opportunity to check the form and preparation prior to Olympics. We invite you to participate and take advantage of the exceptional opportunity at the beginning of the European sailing season to find out how you measure with the best. To this end, besides the above mentioned, for all those interested starting March 05th we will organize and informal - training regattas.

And of course, regatta will be held on two separate racing areas.
