Dear Sailors,

On behalf of  Y.C. Labud, the Host Club as well as other Split's Yacht Clubs (Mornar, Split, and Zenta) it is my pleasure to invite you to the 6th edition of Split Olympic Sailing Week which will take part from 17. - 21. March 2010.

As you may know 2009 has been great success for the Croatian Sailing Team. Tina Mihelić is  European Champion in Laser Radial, Šime Fantela and Igor Marenić are World and European Champions in 470 class, Ivan Kljaković Gašpić - Bambi is European Champion and 3rd from Worlds, Marin Mišura was 4th on Europeans, while our Laser men Team is one of  the strongest teams in the World. Thanks to Vujasinović, Radelić, Lolić, Stipanović, Mihelić, Taritaš... In 49-er class Kostov-Cupać are breaking their PB from race to race. Lovrović-Mikuličić in Star class are considered among World best crews.
Presence and support of the above mentioned sailors but also the other top level sailors from our neighboring countries are guarantee that 6th edition of SOSW is going to be excellent regatta and practice test before World Cup season.
This is also an additional reason for us, the organizers, to give our best in order to secure the highest racing level not only on water but on shore too.
We have no doubt that with your help and support we will succeed!
I would like to take this opportunity to point out few more interesting facts:
•    we have secured free accommodation in (at least) 3* hotel for all top 10 ISAF Ranking Sailors (31. December 2009.)
•    50% of discount for early entry by 17. February 2010.
•    regatta will be held on 2 independent race courses
•    we are open to and welcome all interested in training session prior to SOSW
•    our club is host to the Finn european championship 2010 so  SOSW would be a good test not only for us but for many Finn Sailors as well

From now on, we will try to keep you up to date about organizing activities of SOSW and we hope to convince you to include SOSW in your Racing calendar
