Nearly 100% accurately guessed the weather forecasters on the second day. Morning started with the quite strong wind, but as the fleet sailed on the sea the wind had already begun to fade and to inflict a headache for judges and sailors. Course A, where were 470, Lasers and Laser radial, started on the estimated time of about 11 hours under Sustipan, but the course B had to move twice because they didn’t have stable or strong wind, so the competition for the Finn, the Stars and RS-X started, after 13 hours. Class 470 has quickly sailed two races , and returned from the sea before 15 hours. Others have returned to dry about 16 30. Lasers had really had a long day, three races sailed, recovered from yesterday's backlog, which is the most important priority, now everything is valid, and whatever happens in the next two days, the coin can be divided.

Most interesting is in the Laser, where the lead took Tonci Stipanovic. From the Croatian sailors after five races in second place was Milan Vujasinovic (nine) and third Ivan Taritaš (total 13). The fleet is very interesting, in Split, because there are around ten skippers who will compete at the Olympics. One of them is Frenchman Jean Baptiste Bernaz, which today won one race.

- This is the first race of the year, we try to correct some details, today I was so quick that I'm satisfied. Competition is very good, I'll sail upon SOSW even Sailor Grand Prix and then back to France. I am coming here for four years, I like this city and I love to sail with Croatian skippers, they are always on full alert for sailing and that is good - says Bernaz.

Tina Mihelic retained first place in the Laser Radial, the other is Dino Sindik, and third Antonio Poretti. Among other woman skippers are Croatian Ana Sandrić (total 16), and the third Nikolina Prtenjača (total 25)

- It was cold today at sea, like freezing, with all day a headache, so I went into the first race without some motive, and took fourth place. Then I made the first two so I still did the job, but it can be a lot better. - Tina said.

Sime Fantela and Igor Marenic in the 470 with four victories, and Ivan Kljakovic Gaspic with three wins in Finn and one second place. Of course, there are two days left, but if there is no major surprises, titles of champions and winners of SOSW-for these sailors will not fail. The order of the Croatian Championship in the 470 – second place for Enia Ninčević and Romana Župan (third overall) and third Lovro Ivanov and Marko Caric (six overall). In the Finn croatian Josip Olujic is second (third overall), while the third is Tudor Bilic (fifth overall). Windsurfers have not sailed.

Interesting, competition takes place in the Star class. In the first place is Mate Arapov and Ante Šitić, with the same points as the Marin and Dan Lovrović ,and one victory was signed in today , after four races for Marin Misura and Tonko Barac.

- The first race today, the conditions were on the verge of regularity, at one point we found ourselves in the wrong place ,and we lost our position and came fourth. In the second race, we had a leading position from start till the end, increased contrast, this was a good practice - said Mate Arapov.

The competition continues tomorrow, it is scheduled to start at 11 hours.
