NOTICE OF RACE
1 RULES
1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.
1.2 RRS Appendix P, Special Procedures for rule 42, will apply.
1.3 No national authority prescriptions will apply.
2 ADVERTISING
Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority. ISAF regulation 20 applies.
3 ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY
3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of the Finn, Laser Men, Laser Radial Men & Women, Star, 470 Men & Women, 49er and RS:X Men & Women classes(es)
3.2 Eligible boats and coaches may enter by online registration on the SOSW website (http://jklabud.hr/sosw). Confirmed entries will be posted on the event website.
3.3 Entries must be received and fees must be paid before the end of 2010. to qualify for the early entry fee.
3.4 All competitors and team leaders/coaches shall also complete registration at the Registration Office in JK Labud during registration time (see NoR 5.1).
Competitors not such entered will not be eligible for the event, except with prior approval from the OA.
3.5 Late entry payments can be made online or via bank transfer in Kuna or Euro before on-site registration. Only, cash payments can be accepted during on-site registration.
3.6 Events in which there are fewer than 8 entries by 16. February 2011 may be cancelled. The OA will publish any cancellation notice on the official event website no later than 20. February 2011. Paid entry fees for any cancelled event will be refunded.
4 FEES

4.3 Irrespective of NoR 4.1, competitors ranked in the top 10 on the final ISAF 2010 ranking, Olympic and World medalist in Olympic classes (seniors) who have registered and PAID the early entry fee, will get the entry fee back upon on-site registration at the JK Labud Office. See also NoR 19.2.
5 SCHEDULE
5.1 Registration:
Wednesday 16 from 12:00 hrs to19:00 hrs
Thursday 17 from 08:00 hrs to10:00 hrs

5.3 The scheduled time of the warning signal for the first race each day is
Thursday, 17 March 13:00 hrs

Saturday, 19 March 11:00 hrs
Sunday, 20 March 10:00 hrs
5.4 On the last scheduled day of racing, there will be no warning signal for any class after 14:00hrs.
5.5 The prize giving ceremony is scheduled for 16:00 on Sunday March 20.
6 MEASUREMENTS
Each boat shall produce a valid measurement certificate.
7 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS
The sailing instructions will be available after at registration and may be posted on the event website prior to registration.
8 VENUE
8.1 Attachment 1 shows the location of the regatta harbour.
8.2 Attachment 2 shows the location of the racing areas.
9 THE COURSES
The courses to be sailed will in accordance with the guidelines for the Olympic Games Regatta.
10 PENALTY SYSTEM
For the 49er class rule 44.1 is changed so that the Two-Turns Penalty is replaced by the One-Turn Penalty.
11 INTERNATIONAL JURY
An International Jury will be appointed in accordance with RRS 91(b). Its decisions will be final as provided in rule 70.5.
12 SCORING
12.1 The Low Point System of RRS Appendix A will apply. RRS B8 is deleted.
12.2 3 races are required to be completed to constitute a series.
12.3 (a) When fewer than 5 races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores.
(b) When 5 or more races have been completed, a boat’s series score will be the total of her race scores excluding her worst score.
13 SUPPORT BOATS
13.1 Support boats shall register at the race office and shall, at all times while on the water, either fly an identification flag or be marked with a sticker as provided by the OA.
13.2 Support boats with team leaders, coaches and other support personnel shal stay outside areas where boats are racing from the time of the preparatory signal for the first fleet to start until all boats have finished or the race committee signals a postponement, general recall or abandonment.
13.2 During any starting sequence, support boats shall stay at least 50 meters below the starting line and its extensions.
14 RADIO COMMUNICATION
Except in an emergency, a boat shall neither make radio transmissions while racing nor receive radio communications not available to all boats. This restriction also applies to mobile telephones.
15 PRIZES
Top 3 sailors (crews) in each class will be avarded.
16 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY
Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. The organizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or death sustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
17 INSURANCE
Each participating boat shall be insured with valid third-party liability insurance with a minimum cover of 500.000 € per event or the equivalent.
18 RIGHTS TO USE NAME AND LIKENES
By participating in the Split Olympic Sailing Week regatta, a competitor automatically grants the Organizing Authority and the sponsors of the regatta, the right to, in perpetuity, make, use and show, from time to time and at their discretion, any motion pictures, still pictures and live, taped or filmed television and other reproductions of the competitor and its material, during the period he/she participates in the competition Split Olympic Sailing Week without any compensation.
19 ACCOMMODATION
19.1 Detailed information will be available through the event website.
19.2 Sailors who has completed on-line registration and paid early entry fee before the end of 2010 and who are either:
- Top 10 on the final ISAF 2010 Ranking list for Olympic Classes
- Medallists at Olympic Games and World Championships in Olympic Classes (only seniors)
will be provided free accommodation at a 3 stars Hotel, or better. (See also NoR 4.3)
