A short overview of today's sailing and SOSW 2016 overall. Here we are at the end of the 12th edition of Internationat regatta Split Olympic Sailing Week. Three days, in Split Channel, in front of island Ciovo, 54 competitors from 12 countries sailed SOSW 2016. Today strong south-east, which raised up to 25 knots, waited Standards, Radials and 4.7's. Strong so called Jugo caused problems to Race Committee by setting race area, and after 60 min of delay, everything was ready for Standard's first start procedure. Followed Radials and 4.7's. Today all classes sailed two races. The best today in Standard was Tonči Stipanović, YC Mornar although after first race left race area, that decision didn't changed his overall rank. In Radials today victory took Dominik Perković, YC Labud, who is also overall Radial winner, although Russian sailor Elena Vorobeva followed him by the rates, and she is also the best woman in class Laser Radial. In class Laser 4.7 the best on SOSW 2016 is Roko Copić, YC Val Šibenik, following Hana Dragojević, YC Labud. Congrats to all and see you next year!

For Sunday, 17th April 2016, first warning signal scheduled at 10:30 hrs. Possible are three (3) races.

At 10 am Race Committee lunched Delta flag and called competitors on the sea. Stable south-east of 15-20 knots blows all day long so RC reached to organise 4 races for Standards and Radials and 3 for 4.7's. Racing was held on race area Alpha, in front of island Čiovo. All racing was finished at 15:00, competitors were sent on the land, at the barbecue. Tomorrow first warning signal scheduled at 10:30 hrs, with possible 3 races. First day of International regatta for classes Laser Standard, Radial and 4.7 Split Olympic Sailing Week passt with light sea breeze insufficient for races. 54 competitors overall from 12 nations waited for announced south-east wind, that unfortunately didn't come. Tomorrow's weather forecast is more promissing - 15-20 knots south-east wind. Race Committee announced 4 races for tomorrow. First start will be at 11:00h.
