thumb_a23Northeasterly wind called Bura is certainly the least favorable for sailing. Unpredictable, very unstable, often changing direction and strength, one moment you’re the first, and the next the last, without changing your position. But, sailors came to terms with that, happy that there was wind today. Three races were sailed today for Laser, Laser Radial and 470, and two for the Finn and RS: X, in 15 to 20 knots of bura. It was very exciting at the race course, especially in the last race of the day with bura picking up.

Tina Mihelić (CRO) is simply unbeatable, she won all five races in the Laser Radial. The names at the top of this class did not change. The second is still Italy's Francesca Clapchich, and third Dino Sindik (CRO)
- It was quite windy, the wind strengthened during the day, so it was interesting. Basically I sailed against Francesca, she gave me quite a hard time upwind, but I managed to gain a lot downwind. - said Mihelic

With two wins today Tonći Stipanović (CRO) took the lead in Laser, ahead of Russian Sergey Komissarov and Aron Lolić (CRO). Tonći scored two bullets and a 17th place in the last race.

- After a slight delay at the start of the first race I managed to get away quite quickly and I turned the first mark around seventh place. I sailed well and eventually finished first, despite the bad start. In the second race I had a great start, took the leading position from the very beginning, I just had to control the others, although that was not that simple due to the unstable bura. In the last race I caught the anchor rope at the pin, and it was impossible to do anything better than 17th place – retells Stipanović.

The Finns and RS: Xs had the longest day today. Unlike course A the course B had no wind in the morning. They waited for two hours and then the RC decided to try their luck in a new spot. Ivan Kljaković Gašpić (CRO) retained the top spot, second is Slovenian Vasilij Žbogar and third Marin Mišura (CRO).
- I capsized in the second race. Otherwise, all good, the season is beginning , I think I'm ready, I'm healthy, that’s most important. - highlights Mišura.

Luka Mratović is very convincing in the RS:X, two more wins for him today. The second is the Italian Andrea Ferina, a third Slovenian Aljaz Maslo. In the 470 class with three wins Hungarians Varadi / Serke took the lead, ahead of the Turkish crew Cinar / Cinar, who have one point advantage over third place Enia Ninčević and Roman Župan.

Tomorrow is the last day of the regatta. Very strong bura is expected.
