In spite of the inclement weather in the City of Split one month before the start of the international SOSW regatta, the provisional list has 90 entries from 15 countries.
The most numerous, Laser Class has tree competitors ranked among the first 10 on the current ISAF ranking list.
The two hosts are Tonći Stipanović and Milan Vujasinović while Andreas Geritzer from Austria, 5th on the ranking list will also sail in front of the Split harbor. Pavlos Contides from Cyprus, ranked 11th also sent his entry.
Among the 13 nations participating in the Laser Standard class, two representatives from distant Japan will also take part in the SOSW. Their names are Shinnosuke Yasuda and Jo Kota.
An interesting fact is the come-back of Polish competitor Maciej Grabowski who represented his country at the two former Olympic Games.
After competing shortly in the Star Class he returned to the Laser Class with the desire to meet the criteria for the upcoming Olympics.
