PRESS RELEASE

The participants of the tenth edition of the international sailing regatta Split Olympic Sailing Week They enjoyed the third day!
Bura filled the sails of the seventy sailors from 12 nations, so two races were sailed in record time. Although in the morning everything in front of Split's Labud, host club of this traditional race for Olympic class, gave notion that it isn't going to be a great day for sailing eventually the rain stopped and the wind picked up. Two hours after the scheduled start at 11 the job was done promptly.
Although some crews were in trouble, some had to swim for a while, others had equipment problems, and some had to go ashore, but one constant remains - the best of the first two days of sailing today cemented their position at the top. So Nenad Bugarin, 21 -year-old sailor from Split's Labud, today finished with one first and one second place , which gets him the lead in the Finn class .

- I'm satisfied since I've been sailing in the Finn class for six months, but still lack couple of pounds - tells the younger brother Bugarin, who has been sailing for the last two years as a member of Labud since he moved from Novi Vinodolski to Split where at the moment is polishing his form and continues the tradition of Finn class in Labud .

- I'm did a great job of taming the wind and the competition, so I'm excited for tomorrow's for even stronger winds - summarizes Bugarin , who is in the lead after five sailed races ahead of club colleague Josip Olujić and Trogir's Tudor Bilic.
Bura, which is in the first race, had an average strength of about 20 knots with gusts up to 25, in the second race avaraged about 15 knots, still gave a lot of troubles to candidates in 470class. First to go back ashore were Slovenia's Eva Peternelj and Valentina Baruca from Koper club Jadro , who broke the boom and quickly the girls were in the sea which, fortunately, is no longer so cold.

Problems with tangled spinnaker had Turks Sebahattin Torah Kutoglu and Abdullah Baglica , which due to that were passed by three crews in front of the finish line. The same thing happened to our guys Ante Botica and Jurie Vuletic from JK Trogir and in the end the second race of the day they sailed without a spinnaker. They still remain in the first place overall after five sailed races ahead of the Turkish crew Kutoglu - Baglica and Hungarian brothers Bihary, Gergelyala and Daniel.
As far as the Lasers standardard Tonci Stipanović from Split's Mornar is still in the lead with four first places, and one second . Following him are Poland's Kacper Zieminski and Italian Alessio Spadoni .

In Laser Radial – labud's Tina Mihelic is not giving up her spot in the lead. With todays two wins she cemented her position at the top. The second and third place are held by mornar's Toma Stipanović and Sandra Lulic .
