Despite the bad weather conditions that swept Croatia last week the French/Monaco representation has arrived for the Split Olympic Sailing week. Their journey that was supposed to take 10 hours ended up to be a 2 day adventure due to the snow storms that closed all the roads. In conversation with their coach we found out that this regatta is important to the team because they want to test out the work they did during the winter and since Croatian sailors are always ready and in great form by the start of each season this is perfect opportunity for that. Also they heard of bura (an N-NE wind that often blows in these parts) and they want to get more practice with winds that shift in strength and direction. French/Monaco representation is made of members from Monaco and all over France, including a member from the island of Martinique, and is here to sail in Laser and Laser Radial classes.
