Everybody sailed out from marina YC Labud, turning arround the race area looking for the best spot to start the race, it should be in a couple of minutes. Good morning, regards from sunny Split, welcome to the third day of the Split Olympic Sailing Week. It is sunny and windy, bura is again here, with some 25 knots. Untill you are waiting for race start at 11:00h, check the VIDEO from LEŠO MOL (Boiled cod) first gig, yesterday in YC Labud.

No race today. It is a final announcement from the race committe. Wind is picking up to 40 knots, it is very cold and the sailing conditions are not suitable and secure for sailing.
All competitors are invited to warm meal, here in JC Labud, as well as on evening party. Race schedule for tomorrow is at 11:00h.

Just a couple of minutes after competitors are informed to sail out, wind has picked up to 37 knots so the race committee postponed the race. Everybody is waiting for regular sailing conditiones, and now it all depends of the weather.
13:16 h - last update from Tonci Antunovic directly from the race area: Bura is still high, arround 30 knots with gusts up to 40 knots.
Race is still postponed, competitors are hanging up, talking, playing the pool, ... Next announcement from the race committee is expecting at 14:00 h.

Today, after a long day of competing, it's time for fun. Organisers of the SOSW, JC Labud, are organizing a party. After returning to dry land, all skippers, crew and umpires will be greeted with a warm meal after which our very own sailing-jamming band Lešo mol (boiled cod) will take the stage.
The party is guaranteed to last until the wee morning hours! Or until the first race on Saturday :-) .

Good morning and wellcome on the second day of the Split Olympic Sailing Week. The winter is back in Split with temperature arround 3 degrees Celzijus, mixed with strong northern Wind (bura) picking up to 30 knots.
The intention is to race (start is scheduled for 12:00h), but the race committee and the organizers will be very caferul, safety first of course.
