Good morning all, it is a beautiful sunny morning in split, and how else could it be since it is a first day of racing at SOSW!
Sailors are still registering, so the enty list is not final. The forecast for today is some wind in the afternoon. First start is scheduled at 13:00h.

New season is beginning! YC Labud and SC Mornar are slowly filling up with representatives from numerous European countries. Today on schedule was registration, while tomorrow is first day of racing at the AOC Open Croatian Championship and Split Olympic Sailing Week. According to unofficial information in front of Split harbor, for the next couple of days, there will be app. 160 sailors from 19 countries, a new record for the SOSW. Final entry list will be known tomorrow morning.

Regarding the fact that just two 49er and 4 RS:X send it's on-line application for the SOSW regatta, the Organizing Committee may be forced to cancel racing for mentioned classes. As this year SOSW regatta edition, is as well Croatian Open Championship, the Organizer is not in position to announce any official cancellation before the end of registration (Wednesday 08th March 10:00 hours - please read NOR 5.1 Registration).

Three weeks until the SOSW we have surpassed 100 entries from 18 countries.The most numerous is the Laser Standard class.
Class 470 also surpassed its last year's entries. Slovenian and Hungarian RSX competitors announced their entries.
We believe that in spite of the fact that the EC that takes places right after the SOSW, there will be more competitors in the Finn class.
It will be nice to see the Star class in the race course again.
It is likely that this year's SOSW will surpass last year's 124 entries.
