day3-postponed 01

For now, 4th race is postponed. Rain has stoped, but there is no wind. Forecast for today is nort/nort east wind (Bura) up to 15 kts  in the afternoon, and picking up to very strong in the evening. We hope "Bura" will arrive as soon as possible, so we can have a great racing day.

day3-morning crop

Dear sailors, this morning, we cannot say - have a nice sunny morning! Only we can heartily wish you a good morning with the rain and the expected north-east - Bura.
The plan is to have a fourth start at 11.00 am, but as forecasts a north-east in amplification only in the afternoon, it will not surprise us if the judges led by Alen Kustić decide to postpone the start.
We are pleased that three races for the validity of the race we already have, so today's racing and tomorrow's final race can only be one real true pleasure on the race area. It will surely be interesting on the sea with a strong north-east wind.

A fleet of seventy sailors from twelve countries that were sailing on the 10th anniversary edition of the international sailing regatta Split Olympic Sailing Week, didn't have much luck with wind today. At first the delay was displayed, and the start ,planned for the noon, was prolong for two hours. First to cross the starting line of the race field in front of Ciovo were sailors of the class 470 at 14:15. At the time there was about eight knots of maestral but as time went by so did the wind !

sosw 2014 day2 race2
